Canada Beergarden’s summer favourites in the Vancouver area
Following our transition from Mtl Beergarden to Canada Beergarden, we felt it was time to explore Canadian cities. From Montreal to Carleton, to Kingston, Ottawa, Toronto, Moncton, and more recently, Vancouver, our clients’ warm welcome confirms the enthusiasm for our convivial tables.
What is most important is that our first few destinations allowed us to build new relationships and create new bonds. This adventure embodies the very spirit of the traditional “biergartens”, which invite us to toast in community by sharing a bench and a table around a craft beer and local food.
Sharing a table is also sharing stories, and therefore we took advantage of our stay in Vancouver to prepare a small tour of five of our favourite spots in the city to share with you!
1 – Sea to Sky
A panoramic road with breathtaking views at the top of mountains that plunge into the fjords, the waterfalls, and the snow-capped peaks.
2 – Maenam
This award-winning Thai restaurant offers fresh and exciting cuisine, including an explosive green papaya and grilled corn salad to be enjoyed on the terrasse on 4th West Avenue.
3 – Coast View
After taking a dip in the giant saltwater pool of Kitsilano beach, take a bike ride through the surrounding residential neighbourhoods, all the way to the enchanting Pacific Spirit Park.
4 – MOA_ubc
A must to (re)discover the history of the Northwest Coast First Nations people and the impressive sculpture Raven and the First Men by Bill Reid.
5 – Bao Bei
A modern Chinese brasserie with a vintage oriental touch where shared dishes, fine cocktails and a festive atmosphere are the order of the day.
And if you’re ever in the area, stop by Galiano island. Located just a short drive away from Vancouver, the island offers a typical West Coast lifestyle.
